The online Webinar – ‘SDG Philanthropy Platform Experiences in the United States’, was held on  April 4th, 8:00 – 10:00 am EDT, hosted by the SDG Philanthropy Platform, with speaker Natalie Ross, Advisor to SDGPP in the US, and Senior Director,  Global Philanthropy and Partnerships at the Council on Foundations.

The SDG Philanthropy Platform was recently launched in the United States, with support from Council on Foundations (COF), Foundation Centre, and the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisers. SDGPP in the US and its partners have convened meetings of foundations in numerous cities, and together, launched the publication, From Global Goals to Local Impact: How Philanthropy Can Help Achieve the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals in the U.S.

Natalie Ross discussed her work for the Platform; the engagement strategy with foundations, the government and other stakeholders; how US partners are working on the SDGs; and practical steps of collaboration, including exchanging lessons learned with others; finally, participants engaged in interactive discussion on the topic of partnerships and action on the SDGs.
