India's booming nonprofit sector has the potential to make significant inroads into the region's challenges—from ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and nutritious food to reducing infant mortality, improving health care, and expanding educational opportunities. But this potential will be realized only if leaders of these nonprofit organizations can put in place the key drivers of success—a focused mission and strategy, a solid operational model, strong governance, and effective leadership.
With that in mind, HBS has introduced an executive education program, which is designed for senior decision makers in established or growing nonprofit (NGO) organizations in South and Southeast Asia. This new program is offered in association with Dasra, India's leading strategic philanthropy foundation, and with Ashoka University. Exploring best practices in nonprofit strategy, governance, and leadership, the program will prepare the students to build a high-performance organization that can fulfill its mission, expand its scope, and achieve its potential for improving lives.
The programme will be offered at the Ashoka University campus in Sonepat, Haryana from 29th July to 2nd August 2018.
Strategic Nonprofit Management - India explores best practices in non-profit strategy and leadership to prepare participants to build a high-performance organization. Besides classroom sessions delivered by HBS faculty, the programme also provides participants the opportunity to interact with leaders from philanthropy and the non-profit sector.
